![]() In the end though CVS2 is a much better game than the original CVS.It excels over it in the most important area and thats gameplay. I truly believe that these backgrounds represent the apex of this particular artform in gaming. Much balanced gameplay, free ratio select, larger cast of characters and so much more. So without further ado, I'd like to start things off with a few examples of the amazing artwork generated by Capcom/SNK's artists in the 90's and early 2000's. ![]() ![]() The software update is a minor one, but includes a few new features and changes for the iPhone. Now gameplay is where CVS2 really outshines the original CVS.It has so much more than the original,6 button,6 grooves,EX customize style grooves, grooves are more complete unlike the original where the only thing that seperated them were the way you perform your supers. 7 hours ago &0183 &32 Following around seven weeks of beta testing, iOS 16.5 was released to the public last week. Infact i would go so far as saying that Shin Akuma theme is the best track out of all the tracks thats in both versions CVS and CVS2.Its really that great! Now on the matter of sound, the sound effects and voices are pretty much even with each other. The soundtrack on the other hand is much better in the original(although i would have prefered character theme music over the techno style music used in CVS).īut CVS2 have a few awesome tracks, most noticeable ones are,The London Stage,Shin Akuma theme and God Rugal theme. The original Capcom vs Snk backgrounds surpasses even the Guilty Gear X titles backgrounds(most so in style and overall artistic quality). In Capcom vs Snk 2 the backgrounds are 3-D but they're done in a way to mimic the artistic quality of 2-D and they are simply beautiful. They also are much more detailed and better designed than the backgrounds in Marvel vs Capcom 2(i do miss the Snk style intro's from the original though). To be totally honest both games have beautiful backgrounds.I like both titles backgrounds equally. Now as for the backgrounds it all comes down to what you prefer,2-D or 3-D. Some of the new 3-D real time effects are much better than the previous ones. Most noticeable one's are Ryu and Ken's fireballs.īut Kyo,Iori and Mai flames looked so much better in the original. Plus, while i do generally find SNKs 'concepts' for backgrounds more interesting, i like Capcoms execution and pixelart much better. They were not shy of using black or high contrast, didn't rely on subtlety and in the arcades, their backgrounds appeared very pixelated and rougher, which made them a lot less attractive than these small gifs.Well in comparing CVS to CVS2,i can start with the graphics.įirst of all the character sprites seem more pixelated in CVS2 than the original(i have know idea why though),also half of the returning 3-D real time effects are more pixelated as well. The hand-drawn fighting game background is a fading art, kept alive by the crew at SNK Playmore, keeping the lights on in the King of the Fighters series and the tireless hardcore savants at Arc. Esperamos que disfrutes de nuestra seleccin curada de fondos de pantalla de Anime Ataque a los titanes. SNK's execution on the contrary is very straightforward. Fondos de Pantalla de Anime Ataque a los titanes. Their pixel technique is unmatched, and their games all had a very unique look. They paid a lot of attention to aesthetics, avoided using black or too much contrast to hide jaggies or pixelated look.Ĭapcom artists were faking a higher resolution, sometimes wasting one of the few colors available for sprites only to do some sort of manual anti-alias and make things appear smoother. Shingeki no Kyojin adapts content from the first eight volumes of Hajime Isayamas award-winning manga of the same name. There is a difference a lot of what Capcom artists achieved was basically optical illusions, using colors in a way that pixels would look smaller than what they actually were, or simply "hinting" at sub pixel details that you'd see but were not actually there. Plus, while i do generally find SNK's "concepts" for backgrounds more interesting, i like Capcom's execution and pixelart much better. i think SNK backgrounds at some point really started feeling like "what else can we fit there to make things more busy and interesting ?"
